My new excuse 

Apparently now stretching before exercise is not good, and makes you "weaker and slower."

This explains everything!

On a related note, I will be doing the Race for the Cure again. Probably with inadequate preparation. But I remember that the last time I did it (2006?), I posted my time here. I'll have to look it up and try to beat it.
