- Downtown will essentially be sealed off beginning at 8 tonight. The area near the Convention Center is a Double-Secret Super Security Zone. I actually have Secret Service/State Department credentials to get in to that area and the summit itself, but that probably won't be part of my duties.
- A group of Greenpeace activists kicked off The Parade of Arrests by dangling themselves (and a banner) off the West End Bridge.
- The first level of my office building has now been completely encased in plywood. But it's been tastefully painted black and gold.
- Apparently there are going to be like 15 heavily armed Coast Guard boats patrolling the waters.
- The federal building has been fenced off.
- I've seen several helicopters flying in formation since Saturday.
- Some dude was suspiciously taking pictures of the building across the street from ours.
- If I get hit with a bag of feces, I'm going to be really pissed off.
