Life... Savers... Ummm
Apparently it's been a while since I bought a pack of Five-Flavor Life Savers, because I didn't realize they'd changed the flavors!I was curious, so I looked up what happened.
Apparently the lineup of my youth (Cherry, Orange, Lemon, Lime, and Pineapple) was also the lineup of a lot of people's youths: it had been unchanged since the 1930's. Then in 2003 they ditched all three citrus flavors, replacing them with Watermelon, Raspberry and Blackberry. Soon after, though, they had second thoughts (public outcry?) and put Orange back in (ditching Blackberry).
Anyway, Lemon and Lime were always my least favorite, so I can't complain.
