Romeo, Romeo, you are so fired, Romeo
Notes on the NFL:

- Apparently Cowher is not going to the Browns.
- I think Mike Tomlin was dead wrong -- dare I say negligent? -- in how he used several key starters yesterday. Thank goodness the result was "only" one concussion.
- The Cowboys are America's Joke. Every time I see a story about that circus, I think my lucky stars I'm a Steeler fan.
- Romeo Crennel is out in Cleveland, but will be hired by another team very quickly, I say. Rod Marinelli, I'm not so sure. Apparently winning at least one game is a prerequisite to keeping your job in the National Football League.
- The Jets' Eric Mangini is fired too, but at least he can say he was once on The Sopranos.
- Messiah, on location in Vegas, placed a wacky $5 bet for me that would have paid $115: Steelers, Bengals, Bears, Eagles, and Patriots to all cover the spread. He got 4 out of 5. Damn you, Bears. You're On Notice.
- The Steelers can't play the Ravens until the AFC Championship at the earliest. I say this is good. But the Colts would be big trouble. Forget the first few weeks -- they're the best team in the AFC.
