Now batting... 

Via CNN: Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice named Ken Griffey, Jr. a Public Diplomacy Envoy today.

Unfortunately, Griffey pulled a hamstring approaching the podium.

He's day-to-day, and is expected to make the trip to Panama.
