Peculiar Google quirk
If you Google the phrase NBC Wednesday night lineup, the very first hit is a New York Times story from September 18, 1985. Which just seems weird.
Among the shows debuting that night -- in case you were wondering -- was "Charlie and Company." The show starred Flip Wilson and was apparently CBS's answer to the Cosby Show.
The author inquires, "If Bill Cosby can almost singlehandedly lift the spirits and ratings of NBC, can Flip Wilson do the same for CBS?"
Um. Gonna say no.
However, the show did feature Gladys Knight. And Urkel!
