"Overheard" on the text message circuit...
I realize that I didn't blog about the Penguins during their entire playoff run, so this Pens-related item will have to do.
The following is a text exchange from Wednesday, June 4, between myself and Messiah. The Penguins were down 3 games to 2 in the Stanley Cup Finals, with Game 6 looming a few hours later.
ME, approx. 1 PM: "Is it wrong that a small part of me is sort of rooting for the Pens to lose Gm 6? Gm 7 would be wedding day/night!"
MESSIAH, few minutes later: "You get 20 minutes between periods - you'll be fine! No hoping for loss!"
MESSIAH, 10:30 PM, as Red Wings hoist cup: "Enjoy your wedding night, fuckface."
