Wrapping up the List: MCE #2 and #1

Number 2 is my rock star slot.

Being a frontman -- or drummer, or guitarist with mystique (Crowe, Almost Famous, 2000) -- is probably the height of cool for me. So I have to limit myself to one rock star on the list. And that one individual is Jon Bon Jovi.

He is a walking definition of man crush, with that perfect rock star look and stage presence. But more than that, his songwriting has helped keep what could've been just an "80's band" relevant -- and hugely popular -- 22 years after "Livin' on a Prayer." I'm always blown away by people clever enough to pull off that kind of longevity in today's crowded entertainment arena. Bon Jovi is also an actor, a shrewd businessman, an arena football team owner, and he's managed to stay married to his high school sweetheart all these years. Not too shabby.

And then there's #1:

Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy (and American Dad) and voice of many of the characters.

The guy just rocks, and words can't adequately explain why I think he's so cool. I mean, he creates this hilarious show. Then he does most of the primary voices himself. He can sing like nobody's business, in the aforementioned different voices. He has a terrifically raunchy sense of humor, and an ability to be an equal opportunity offender without really offending anyone.

Unrelated but fascinating trivia: He was supposed to be on one of the ill-fated 9/11 flights, but missed the plane by 10 minutes.
