"First of May, First of May.... Indoor smoking stops today!"
The Allegheny County smoking ban for bars and restaurants is in effect! A judge refused to extend the injunction that had postponed it until today.
I'm sure some bars will be slow to implement it, and the Health Department says it'll be lenient for a while.
But still, there are signs that many, if not most, places are embracing it. Such as this chalkboard that I photographed this morning, outside a popular college food and drink spot:
