Hooey!
I thought the Steelers controlled destiny to get into the playoffs -- but apparently they have no such control.
Apparently the deal is this: In addition to the Steelers winning their last two games to stay ahead of the Chargers and Chiefs, the Jaguars have to keep....winning.
The reason is this: the Steelers beat the Chargers in a head-to-head tiebreaker. But if that becomes a three-way tie with the Chargers and Jags... we lose out!
That's more than a little worrisome, with the Jaguars now being led by David Garrard -- and barely beating the 49ers yesterday. The good news: their last two games are against the Texans and Titans. But both those teams can be feisty and usually keep their opponents close.
