I can't understand the recent despicable remarks by Karl Rove. What's his plan? Is he losing his cool because the GOP's popularity is down? Or is he so calculating that he's trying to get the Dems to demonize him and look angry? Rove said:

Liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers. Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war.

Every liberal I know wanted retribution -- against the right damn country! Your strategery hasn't caught the guy who did this to us, has it? And billions in resources to catch him are now being used in that other country. Someone should take you out back and slap the crap out of you. There's some "liberal pacifism" for ya, you divisive, hateful piece of shit.

Rove is too smart to not know how offensive this is, so I have to conclude he's trying to bait the Dems. He didn't get where he is by simply being a hothead bigmouth like Howard Dean.

Anyway, the conservative response is typical:

Congressional Republicans joined the White House in standing solidly behind Rove, saying he shouldn’t apologize and that he was outlining a philosophical divide between a president who sought to win the war on terrorism by taking the fight to the enemy and Democrats who questioned that approach.

Who? Who didn't want to take the fight to the enemy? Give me the lengthy list of people that voted against going after bin Laden, or opposed the war in Afghanistan. Go ahead.

Thanks again for politicizing the deaths of 3,000 Americans. And for reminding us how united we were on 9/12/2001, and how the whole world was behind us, before you squandered it all.
