This is really quite bizarre.....
In search of what Pibb Xtra actually is, I found Mr. Pibb's "brand fact sheet" on Coke's website:

Mr. Pibb enables them to have an uninhibited, fun and unconventional attitude because it has the sweet, refreshing bold taste they need to express their independence.Enables you to have a fun, unconventional attitude and lowers your inhibitions? Fraternities should be serving Pibb, man! Think of the money they'd save!
