Broadway (in the 'Burgh)
Over the weekend my parents were kind enough to treat us to tickets to the first national tour of In the Heights.Really good show. Deserving of its Best Musical Tony. Kind of like Rent, but with a Latin/hip-hop-infused score. And without all the anguish. So really, not so much like Rent.
I now await the arrival of the original cast recording, which is in transit from Amazon. If it hasn't hit your city yet -- or if you're in the neighborhood of its Broadway home at the Richard Rodgers Theater -- consider it highly recommended!
