Somewhere there is a virtual ledge with my name on it...
I dislike having anything in common with Mets fans, but if this Johan Santana "elbow discomfort" turns out to be a major injury, I may have to join what will surely be a long line of Met-heads leaping off the Brooklyn Bridge.Santana, you see, is my fantasy baseball ace. And after finishing a strong third in my 12-team league last year, I was (am) hoping to try to end my 11-season championship drought in 2009.
So if you need me for the next several days, I'll be Googling Santana elbow and hoping to not find any reference to the three most dreaded words in baseball: "Dr. James Andrews."
