The check is in the mail series of tubes
I am an embracer of much new technology, and often an early adopter.
But when it comes to paying most of my bills, I have clung tenaciously to my pen-and-paper, stamp and envelope, checkbook and ledger method of doing business.
I have several explanations as to why, with which I shall not bore you. But my resolve may be eroding. This week, faced with missing deadlines, I paid two bills online -- much to Emily's relief, I'm sure (she thinks I'm mildly insane for sticking to the old system).
Anyway, we'll see if I slide all the way into 2000 in one of my last areas of "analog" behavior. There are still aspects of this that annoy me.
