More Upfronts: potential comedy goodness?
I don't usually pay attention to the new fall shows I might want to check out until, say, August. But I noticed this one.
FOX is planning a workplace-based sitcom about a pair of reunited news anchors (based in Pittsburgh, actually!) It stars a couple of terrific big names in Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton, and features the always-hilarious Fred Willard. Also on board is superstar sitcom director and Cheers co-creator James Burrows.
I know that there's little reason to be optimistic about a comedy in this day and age. But this show will really have to be written like shit to fail.
