Superbowl opinions
Is it me, or is this Super Bowl -- on paper -- one of the more exciting to come down the pike in a while?
Superstar QB trying to get the monkey off his back. Thrilling #3 offense against explosive #5 defense. Irresistable force, immovable object, and all that jazz. Plus the first two African-American coaches in Super Bowl history.
It just seems to have more potential than most of the recent games. Then again, matchups don't have to be on-paper beauties to produce thrilling or surprising games. See the Patriots' two Adam Vinatieri wins, and the Rams-Titans gem.
But generally, it seems that plenty of recent games have been pretty crummy, including (objectively speaking!!) last year's Steeler-Seahawks matchup, the Ravens-Giants, Bucs-Raiders, Broncos-Falcons, and others.
I have no idea what the point of this post is, except that I'm hoping this game is all it can be.
