Starting a completely baseless rumor!
Could Jerome Bettis' job at NBC be in danger?
NBC will announce tomorrow that Tiki Barber has been hired to work on both the Today show and Football Night in America -- where Bettis works alongside Sterling Sharpe, Bob Costas, and Cris Collinsworth.
His job description hasn't been laid out yet. Will Barber merely be a "featured player" on FNIA, or is someone gonna go?
I don't think Jerome was viewed as particularly stellar in his debut season in the studio. But I don't actually think they'd can him after just a year, either. It'll be interesting to see what role Tiki will play on both shows. He's cool.
