Lame with a capital "L"
It's Opening Day at PNC Park, and a Steeler is not throwing out the first pitch.
Not only that... but the list of pre-game festivities includes no mention of the Super Bowl Champions, the toast of this town.
Is it me, or is that completely mind-boggling and inconceivable?
I've heard the Pirates and Steelers don't have the greatest of relationships. But that's not a good reason. It's just inexcusable that Cowher or Big Ben or someone isn't out there getting the crowd all riled up. This is obviously an intentional move, and I'd like to see it explained.
And to make it worse, Jerome Bettis is throwing out the first pitch in Detroit! Not that he shouldn't. But couldn't we get someone here?
