Baseball, apple pie, and booing Dick Cheney
What could be more universally American?!
Speaking of which, why did President Bush have to waste the taxpayers' money to fly to Cincinnati to throw out the first pitch last week? I mean, besides the fact that it was a favor for a big campaign donor.
That's a few hundred thousand dollars down the drain, based on per-flight costs for Air Force One and related travel expenses incurred every time the President leaves D.C. Isn't that among the reasons why Presidents and VP's often do the honor in Baltimore (and now DC, as Cheney did today)?
Bush's trip, BTW, came just after a report on Presidential travel came out.
