Here are a few items I've been following...
- Bracketology: With a potential $390 office pool windfall hanging in the balance, the whole thing got blown to smithereens. Obviously everyone's bracket got fouled up, so I don't feel that bad. I'll still finish somewhat near the top, but I have no chance to win.
- TracyBall: I'll hold back on my 2006 Pirates predictions until Opening Day, but so far I really like the preview I'm seeing of the Jim Tracy era. And one American League scout says, "Right now, they're a cinch to go over .500, in my opinion." The article did not mention what his blood-alcohol content was when he said that. But still.
- So what's the song about, anyway: There's a tune on the Top 40 stations right now called "I'm in Love with a Stripper." Gotta respect a straightforward title.
- And speaking of straightforward titles: How 'bout Snakes on a Plane, eh? Awesome Comet and Captain Easychord had an ongoing dispute last year, wherein Comet refused to believe Easy (and later, me) that there was such a film, despite its being listed on various movie websites. Now this mainstream article highlights how it's become quite the internet phenomenon, months before its release.
- Can't quibble with that: FHM names Scarlett Johansson the Sexiest Woman in the World. Our experts are currently considering her application for inclusion on The List.
