"Then one day you wake up, you like men, Gerald Ford dies, and we're screwed!"
Former Prez Gerald Ford is home from the hospital after going in for some tests. He always seemed like one of the most decent guys to ever occupy the White House, and I wish him only the best and a speedy recovery.
That said, the second I saw the news yesterday I had to laugh -- because it brought to mind one of my favorite SNL skits of all time....
It was Dana Carvey as Tom Brokaw, who is about to go on vacation. NBC wants him to tape himself delivering any news that could even conceivably happen while he's away. So he has to read the announcement of Ford's death. It starts off with normal causes, like a heart attack, and gets more and more and more ridiculous -- with this one being the funniest (yeah, those are audio clips, so don't skip 'em!)
