"Balance"
The battle for national public opinion these days is fought and won by pundits. All that matters is who wins the Spin War.
Here's a not-particularly-surprising tally of the Inauguration Day voices on the cable outlets. What is surprising is that FOX did the best, with a whole 7 liberals/progressive voices compared to 19 conservatives. CNN and MSNBC were far worse, with liberals outnumbered 10 to 1 and 13 to 2, respectively.
I was at work, so I had an eye on much of the coverage. I can vouch for the CNN stuff. It's ridiculous. Given that the subject for a good portion of the day was "what will happen in the second term," wouldn't you think a few Democrats might have something to add?
