Immediate overreaction and conspiracy theory!
Cheney's going to the hospital because of shortness of breath. My first thought was: is this the incident that prompts him to "suddenly" hang it up, allowing Bush to essentially name a successor by giving his chosen 2008 nominee the power of (VP) incumbency?
But who would it be? A scary SOB like Santorum, which would please the religious right? Or someone who could certainly win if he wasn't such a lightweight on the international stage.....and who could really benefit from 4 years in D.C....like, say.......Guiliani?
