New Jersey is ridiculous
This is some weird shit going on in New Jersey today. Governor Jim McGreevey resigned a couple minutes ago, saying he's gay and had an adulterous relationship with a man. There is also word of a sexual harassment lawsuit.
Sadly, I guess if you want to go into politics you still have to hide who you really are. I'm going out on a limb and assuming that his second wife (who was with him at the news conference) was well aware of the situation already and doesn't give a shit. It's unfortunate that he had to live that way to be elected governor....but on the other hand, it's extremely annoying that he's (allegedly) done this stuff. It'll just add fuel to the bigoted conservatives' ridiculous arguments that all homosexuals are amoral and promiscuous. Can't wait to hear Rush's take on this one.
